Attend this launch event, in honour of Fr. Jim Wahl, C.R., for the official start of the Library Renewal Project. Beginning in May 2019, the Library at St. Jerome's University will undergo a massive renovation and expansion, adding more study, meeting, collection, and research spaces. On April 7th, we are offering the opportunity to see the old library one last time, while enjoying some finger foods and light refreshments, and also learn more about the Library Renewal Project.
St. Jerome's University Library is presenting a fundraising opportunity to name the St. Jerome's University Library after Fr. Jim Wahl, C.R. Fr. Jim taught in the History Department from 1967 until 2012, serving as Department Chair as well as Dean in 1970. His legacy of teaching and learning continues in the memories of the many students he taught and friends he worked alongside.
Help us to honour Fr. Jim Wahl's legacy, and support the Library Renewal Project. With your help, we can improve the Library’s physical learning spaces and enhance our abilities to foster student learning and well-being. The new Library will offer quiet reading rooms for independent study, an accessibility lift, along with interactive and collaborative workstations to support interdisciplinary research. We will update the technological capacity of our Library, integrating smart classrooms, writable surfaces, and make the computer and data tools available to students, faculty, staff, and the community.
