Screening of the Film - FAREWELL

The Absent Friends Film Series challenges us to join our family, friends and neigbhours in talking about the often taboo topics of death,                                                                                                                                         dying and grief.    
Please Note :   To reserve your seat for the film/discussion of your choice, please register for each film individually 

"Farewell"  Friday February 28, 2020 -7-9:30pm  ST. JEROME'S UNIVERSITY  -ACADEMIC CENTRE  SJ2  2002

Based on the director's own life experiences, Farewell mixes comedy and drama to explore the realities of family dynamics, cultural difference and terminal illness

The Friday evening film series will  take place at the St. Jerome’s University Academic Centre in the 300-seat Vanstone Lecture Hall with facilitated discussion to follow immediately after the screening.,   We invite you to join us in the Atrium of the Academic Centre  from 6-7 pm  to enjoy some light refreshments and peruse our information tables before the program begins  promptly at 7pm .  We look forward to joining with you in this conversation.

Registration 
Tickets for the film series are complimentary  but please register in advance and use  the ticket order form to confirm your participation in the screening and discussion of the film night(s) of your choice.  

PARKING:  Winter film series  - January, February and April :   there are 73 parking spots available in Lots A and B. We have requested that the gates be open so that you can attend free of charge.  When these lots are full people will be redirected to Health Services ( right across from the Academic Centre) metred parking , or Renison ( paid parking lot on the right closer to the entry point of the driveway to St. Jerome’s University )  For those that are required to use the overflow parking, payment can be reimbursed  by contacting Sheli O’Connor  sheli@hospicewaterloo.ca /5197434114 ext 111 following the movie night. 

Due to university events, the March 27th event is being hosted in the Great Hall at Conrad Grebel. Volunteers will be positioned at the entrance to the parking lot ( to the right once enter from Westmount road)  to provide free parking passes to film night attendees.  Overflow parking is available immediately to the left of Conrad Grebel ( towards  St.Paul’s University ) which is metred parking. Parking costs can be reimbursed following the event by contacting sheli@hospicewaterloo.ca 519-743-4114 ext 111
