UW Sleighs the Santa Claus Parade

Join the University of Waterloo as we sleigh the local Santa Claus Parade!
We will be walking along the route and handing out candy canes to all the kids! Get ready to shout Water Water Water along the way and have a fantastic time bringing joy to the local community!

TICKETS: The "up front" cost is $3 or $5 depending on the transportation, HOWEVER.. You get an equal amount redeemable coupon for INews when you arrive at the parade!

WHY DOES IT COST MONEY TO MARCH? We need to ensure we cover the costs should you agree to participate and then not show up.

Our UW Parade entry is being organized by the awesome Off Campus Community folks in partnership with UW Athletics, UW Community Relations and the Waterloo Undergraduate Student Association.


PARADE DETAILS:
KW Parade starts at 10:30 AM so please ensure you arrive no later than 9:00am at the STUDENT LIFE CENTRE (SLC)! The BUS will depart at 9:15am. Limited spots available!!

If you are meeting us there and not taking the bus, detailed directions can be found here on how to get to Weber/Fredrick via GRT. Our entry number will be sent via email so you can find us. Upon arrival, check in with the marshall or volunteers along the route and ask them to direct you to the University of Waterloo entry. We will be staged along Frederick St. SOMEWHERE between Weber St. and East Ave.

Please ensure you dress for the weather! The parade and our entry will happen rain or shine. Please wear as much black and gold as you can OVER your warm clothing to represent Waterloo! THIS IS REQUIRED!  Remember to bring a hat and mitts, as you will be outside for over an hour. If you have a SANTA HAT, Please wear it!! We want to look festive but represent the University!
