Event Details
Continuing our efforts to create new partnerships and engage the community in conversation, St. Jerome’s University (SJU) and Hospice of Waterloo invite you to an intergenerational discussion - a student-led conversation about Advance Care Planning with the added support of HWR's own ACP Volunteer Ambassador team. We would love it if you would consider joining in!
Some of the students taking Professor Andrew Stumpf’s Ethics of End-of-Life Care course at SJU this Fall have been working hard to prepare Advance Care Planning Sessions. Each of these four sessions will offer an opportunity for meaningful group discussion around a set of questions designed to promote reflection concerning what is most important to us and how that relates to the final stage of our lives. Each session will begin with a brief introduction of Advance Care Planning and Substitute Decision Making presented by a volunteer from Hospice Waterloo Region.
We are inviting members of the community to register for ONE of the four online ACP sessions (held using Microsoft Teams video chat software). There are TWO sessions running concurrently each night and we ask you to register for ONE session on either Nov 18th or Nov 24th. Each session is limited to 8 guests.
