By aligning the activities of the Faculty with the E&IC Principles, we set a foundation for advancing human rights, equity, diversity, and inclusion. This involves active institutional efforts to support accessibility, anti-racism, decolonization, gender equity, Indigenization, and to promote a sense of belonging for everyone. \n\nOur launch event will invite our community to reflect upon the E&IC Principles and contribute their own thoughts on:\n\n\tHow they see the E&IC Principles intersecting with their roles at Waterloo\n\tThe challenges that they anticipate in implementing the Principles\n\tThe opportunities they feel the Principles present\n\nAgenda\n\nWe will begin with a brief presentation on the Equity and Inclusive Communities (E&IC) Principles, followed by a panel discussion hosted by Dean Mark Giesbrecht where panelists will be invited to share their perspectives on the E&IC Principles.\n\nPanelists and attendees will then be invited to share their own reflections on the principles at stations throughout the venue,\n\nLight refreshments will be served.\n ",

Event Details
After over a year of dedicated work by stakeholders in the Faculty of Mathematics (faculty, staff, and students) in partnership with institutional partners leading equity, diversity, inclusion, anti-racism, and Indigenization efforts, we are happy to share our Equity and Inclusive Communities Principles with the entire Waterloo community.
